Holds Auditions for

Moliere’s SCAPIN

Auditions for the YCP TheaterWorks’ production of SCAPIN, Moliere’s zany reversal-of-fortune farce, will be held on Tuesday, January 10 and Wednesday, January 11 in the library (not the auditorium) of Van Cortlandtville School at 7:00 pm. The school is located directly across from the Cortlandt Town Center Shopping Mall in Mohegan Lake.

Marilyn Heberling will direct the irrepressible hijinks of Moliere's 17th century farce. But men should have no fear of tights and short pants as the director is placing the show in the 1920s. Young love wins over the objections of the old, everyone's identity is mistaken, the master manipulator servant Scapin outwits all masters and the farce ends as farces do: abruptly, illogically and happily. Actors should be prepared for lively broad physical comedy. The script is available at most libraries. Questions can be emailed to the director at: puffswaddle@gmail.com

Performances are scheduled for May 4, 5, 11, 12, 13 (matinee), 18 & 19, 2012.
